Great altitude terroirs in Languedoc and Roussillon
The Côtes du Roussillon Villages vineyard is located between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean.
It goes up the Agly Valley, bordered on one side by the chain of the Pyrenees and on the other by that of the Corbières. Facing Mount Canigou, which offers breathtaking views, the vines cling to terraces with schist, limestone, gneiss or granite soils.
From Latour de France to Caramany, the vines are planted on islets of spectacular gneiss or black schist conquered from the scrubland. In Maury and Saint-Paul de Fenouillède, there are incredible black shale terroirs.
Here, everything is a contrast between altitude and vertiginous slopes, noble and rare terroirs.
